I did not know Ellen well in high school. But we became great friends when we both attended Colorado State University in 1963, lived in the same dorm, and pledged the same sorority. I saw her last at our 20th reunion. She was accompanied by husband Les, whom I knew from their courtship days at CSU. I saw pictures of their lovely children and learned about their lives in Oklahoma City.
I had hoped to catch up with her at this year's reunion but was devastated to see her name on the Memory list. My condolences to her family. Ellen was a class act: intelligent, kind, fun company, and a woman of integrity. What a loss!
