I have a bit more information about Don Reinhart.  He is survived by his 5 children and former wife, Mary Rezelman Reinhart.  He was in the Temecula hospital for a month and visited and cared for by all these in his family.  He died a week after being taken to hospice. Mary was in touch with Charles Hopkins, a long time friend of theirs.

My limited contact with Don provided us with an appropriate thought for the 20th reunion annual front page..                       "And the years after graduation, I took all of you with me in the suitcases of my mind.  We had competed in school and I took the challenge with me after school.  A challenge to succeed.  Not to beat you but to make you proud of me.  And there were victories.  I had wished you were there to see me. I was proud."

Nancy Aimes seemed to never meet a stranger!  She was vivacious, and it seemed that she enjoyed the company of many people from Highland.  Class was no barrier, so she came to reunions---what?!  A gate-crasher?!!  A most loveable one to say the least.  I will think of her fondly at the birthday party.

I have read both of Don's books and they are very interesting.  Learned alot about him.  Life is fragile and he was a success as he hoped to be.

Don became a miracle healer and he recounts hundreds of healings he did and I found it a fascinating read.  Special relatinship with Steve Jobs.  Both "Mind Blink" and "Unmasking Your Dreams" are well worth the read.

Thanks, Steve. That was fun. I still have a collection of View Master reels in a plastic box with the original viewer and clip on battery operated light source. Those reels continue to inspire trips to various US landmarks.

Wow sure does bring back memories long forgotten. Not much has changed just updated. Sad in many ways but a great look back.

Betty, It's amazing what a few weeks, a great sense on humor and a wonderful imagination can do. Congratulations on your new back yard. For that I may have to take a trip to Datil.

That was a great link Neal.  With things so doom and gloom these days, it is good to have past good memories renewed.  I like so many things on YouTube and learned something this week about rock and Roll and the Segregation conection I had never thought of.  I remember James Radin, in our class who had moved in from the deep South,  trying to explain in Mr. Slocum's Trig class that we just did not understand the South.  Most of us could not understand segregation from a New Mexico prespective.  We just did not recognize as youth the diversity, we heralded as the specialness of New mexico, may have been our own predjudice.  I probably still did not recognize it until I got elected to the Senate where the race card was played every day on the floor of the Senate with no apology.  I honestly can say I consider all of us equal regardless of race.  Now I can not say the same for Bull Dogs and Vikings and Madadors!  Hornets are hard to beat!

Here is the video I watched.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gD2Om1g3B3o

Juliana Loomis (Nedelkow)

I posted a response which was garbaged so shall try again.

When we moved to Athens, I was on a bus to the center with a group of American women.  One lady said, my husband is from a place you probably don't know:  Abq, N. Mex.  I of course laughed and said that is my home.  She said, surely you did not go to Highland High!!  Again, I laughed as I sang the Highland song!!  Her husband is Sandy Wise and they lived behind the Cohn family, friends to Ellen and Judith's brothers.

In another country, connections such as that are very special.

With this virus mess, I do not know if I will ever be able to go to my country again.  I am sorry if I am negative amongst all the positive.

Steve you are, were a politician, and you know the manipulations.  I am eternally grateful for the Father's Knows Best atmosphere in which I grew up..  It is a testament to the human spirit.

I hope to see you all again.  Love to you all

Juliana:  I love your post.  We really have been blessed and so many great friends at Highland who have remained exceptional people.  I wish there was some way we could gather this week in a room and just talk.  Hard to say when that will be possible.  Hopefully by the 75th in September.  Hope everyone stays 6 feet away and washes their hands.

Steve

Is there any interest in setting up a ZOOM conference call for the class?  I can set it up and we can get on and talk.  What do you think?

It would be great and we can see what we all look like after needing a haircut for two months.  I am in.

We have seen Steve's haircut ;)
What about an outdoor venue? A mask contest for the prettiest, ugliest, scariest, most unique, etc? Just a thought if we are still dealing with Chinese plandemic.
