TRAVIS, BONNIE M. Age 68, born in Albuquerque on August 24, 1945 and passed away at Gentiva Hospice care, 10th floor of Lovelace Medical Center in Albuquerque August 26, 2013. She was preceded in death by her brother Thomas M. Jr. Howard, her parents Thomas Sr. and Dorothy Howard of Albuquerque. She is survived by her son Don G. Travis; her niece Kim Ortega; and nephew Jarrod Howard. Bonnie is also survived by Buck Starkey; Ruben Ortega; her great-nephew Angelo; her great-nieces Nichole, Kylee and Kirstyn; and life long friends Linda Starkey, Judy Thompson, Vicky Blackberg, Jeannie Ardans and Barbara Johnson. She was a graduate of Highland High School in 1963 when she married the love of her life William Wade (Bill) Travis, she gave birth to Don G. Travis in 1965 and lost Bill Travis to Cancer in 1971. Bonnie attended TVI in 1984-1986 and graduated as a Computer Programmer. She worked for Bank of America 1987 to 1995 as an EDP Auditor, she then worked for Lovelace Health Systems as an Accounts Auditor 1997 to 2009. She was a Life long Christian and attended Calvary Chapel in Albuquerque till she could no longer drive in 2010. She touched the lives of everyone she ever knew, she loved bowling with her son, watching the NFL with her son and going to watch the New Mexico Lobo's in Football & Basketball. A Private Ceremony will take place with her family and close friends.
