Richard Charles Williams, 72, passed away on Monday, March 12, 2018 at the Veteran’s Hospital in Albuquerque, NM. He was born on May 31, 1945 in Denver CO to William Charles Lord Williams and Maxine May Wilcox.

Richard grew up in Trinidad, CO. He moved to Albuquerque, NM when he was 14. He graduated from Highland High School in 1963. He entered the Navy in 1967 and was honorably discharged.

Richard worked at a variety of jobs throughout his life but enjoyed working for his sister and brother-in-law, Sherry and Bo McAnally at their nursery, Bell’s Greenhouse as a cashier, where he got to talk to people and help them.

Richard was an active member of American Legion Post 99, where he had many friends.

Richard is preceded in death by his father, William Williams; his mother, Maxine Williams, and great-nephew, Derek Covington.

Richard is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Sherry McAnally and Bo; nieces, Pamela Janes and her husband, Brad, Janet Brannan and her husband David; great-nieces, Amanda Southard and her husband, Kaleb, Cynthia Brown and her husband, Chad, and Kate Brannan; great-nephew, Nathan Brannan; great-great-nieces, Alexis Southard, Kayden Southard, Scarlet, Autumn, and great-great-nephew, Dyllon.
