George Boyden got a great writeup at SantaFe.com

Congrats George@https://santafe.com/snow-trax-going-big-george-boydens-ski-life/?fbclid=IwAR30bNaadM5pRMgmXxpUpbrqIruKt7GC7nJjucnF5GSWnuuVd432AWcj-2o

Wonderful article, Larry -- thanks for sharing, especially for us out of towners!

George, what a wonderful life and career -- congratulations!  I've always known that skiing was a big part of your life but now have a much better appreciation of just how big.  Even though our friendship now exceeds 60 years, I never knew you had asthma and that it brought your family to NM.  Health issues were a major reason for many of us coming to NM, including my family.

Best to you and Tooey!

A great story on George Boyden but one that would not be unexpected from him.  George is a great example of the culture of excellence that seemed to infuse this (and other) classes at Highland.  If my experience is any indication, the writer of the article didn't tell you half.  Every time I hear a story about this class that amazes me, I find out later that the whole story is even more amazing.  I do not know how this group became this way but if we could find out why, this country would have a golden future.  Great work George and thanks Tooey for giving him the freedom to get it done.  (And the support)

For those who had Mrs. Singer for P.E. at Jefferson, her obituary appeared in today's paper. She was 100 years old.

NEXT LUNCHEON: The 2nd Monday is fast approaching!! We will meet at the Daily Grind, 1pm, Monday, March 14,  4360 Cutler Ave NE. Their website is https://dailygrindabq.net/.  You can find their menus with mouth-watering pictures so come prepared!  Or they have good coffee and desserts if you only need a midday pick-me-up by that time.  They are located between Indian School and Menaul west of Washington NE, next to Calipers, (1st left turn on Cutler).  If the weather is warm again, we will probably eat outside in their colorful patio.  PLEASE RSVP by Sunday so I can arrange for a seating area.

1958 Slumber party ... wonder if anyone can recognize themselves here?  The girls on the top row look familar, but I can't remember their names, can you?  I see myself, Sharon Bratton, Bette Deakon, Gale McGehee, Anne Fitch (top right) and my good friend, Rita Lowe.

May be a black-and-white image of 4 people, child and people standingSlumber Party

I'm working on the first two in the back row (memory is a funny thing), but I think next to Rita is Coke Hemphill, then maybe Loretta McClure, and possibly Joyce Jones on the end.  I wouldn't have recognized Gale.  And Lane, you are spot on!
