Drafted into the Army in 1966.
Attended Officer Candidate School and Commissioned as a 2LT in 1968 in the U.S. Cavalry.
Spent 30 years in the military and retired as a full Colonel.
Coached a college baseball team for 2 years and have been employed by the Department of Education/Defense as the Regional Director of Mountain Pacific Troops to Teachers, which currently covers AK, AZ, CA, CO, HI, NM, NV, OR, UT, WA, Guam and the Marianas Islands.

Scariest moment- when coach Jack Rushing ("shit fire and save the matches") discovered that the baseball team had pried a bat in the ice cream machine and raided all of the eskimo pies and ice cream sandwiches, and the guilty pointed to me.

Most memorable experience- living in my 1958 Impala convertible after my father died and mother moved away (America's first homeless person).

Biggest personal achievement- completed 10 of the 20 units required for graduation during our senior year (7 at Highland and 3 at Albuquerque HS night school). Wanted to avoid the embarrassment of a non-grad.
