Happy Fourth of July!  In 6 days and 22 hours, we will be meeting for LUNCH at BJ’s Restaurant & Brewery, 2100 Louisiana Blvd NE (1pm Monday, July 11).  That’s on the fringe of Coronado Center.  Our long distance guest this month is Penny Katson Pickett!  And our newest website member, Sherril Coulter, has already reserved a spot!  This is a perfect time to hone your reunion skills, so RSVP here before Monday for your place at the table.

Helen - is the 60th in October of 2022 or 2023?

07/21/22 04:52 PM #2241

Don Engle

Hi Helen, it looks like I'm not the only one who is a little confused on the date (year) of our 60th reunion. My wife Karen and I had a wonderful time at the 50th reunion and certainly planned to attend the 60th. Fingers crossed, you are thinking about having it in 2023. If it is October 2022, which is just a few months away, we would have difficulty rearranging our plans to make that happen. It would be terrific to be able to attend the 60th and see you all once again. No matter what, could you clarify which year and what specific dates you are contemplating? Look forward to hearing from you and, hopefully, seeing you all at the 60th.Don Engle

Kati and I are also looking forward to the HHS 60th reunion, but if 2022 is the intended date, we may not be able to attend due to a prior commitment. Three months until a 2022 date seem like a very short period of time, especially for out of town classmates. I'm interested knowing what other alumni are thinking and would like to hear from them on this forum.

HHS LUNCH:  August's second Monday is only the 8th!  I got caught off guard! This month we will eat at the new Saggio’s Uptown on the east side of Coronado Center.  You can see their attractive store front and menu at their website.  https://www.uptownsaggios.com.  Their process is to order, pay, and then find a table.  You will also pick up your order when called., leaving out the middle man.  Our usual time of 1:00 is at a rather slow time so we should be able to eat together easily.  RSVP is appreciated.

I greatly regret not getting pictures of our latest attendees--Diane Bostick Jones, Penny Katson Pickett, and Sherril Coulter. In fact, thanks to Connie Welty for these sent on a whim.

With great sadness, I have been asked to report that our friend Craig Dear died July 26.  A memorial will be held in September.  He had planned some months ago to be in NM to lead us on another "field trip".  If heaven can be explored, I'm sure he's already at it.  You can read his obituary at this sight.
