Wow! What a group we are! Those who showed up to celebrate the February birthdays on the 18th, at the Grill on San Mateo included Helen Stambaugh WilliamsRhonda Beauchamp BlechMerl and Kati SchaferSteven Brooks, Marcy McVay Cates, Jerry Goffe, Neal Kloepfer. Betty Myers Schaefer, Susan Myers Puckett '59, Connie Pecha Welty '61, Walter Huebner, Susie Strong Neuschwanger, John Criswell, Gail Stark, Sandy Bryan (PHS '64), George and Tooey ('62) Boyden, Mary Glantz Farmer, and me.
As usual, I didn't even get to say hello to everyone, but the conversation seemed lively. The Grill is a burger place (with a few other things on the menu), and everyone seemed to be eating happily -- I didn't hear any complaints, and several were pleased enough to mention it. Each person ordered at the counter, which made separate checks much simpler, and service was as quick as possible. The tables lined up for us to seat ourselves were separated from the main room by a "pony wall", which worked out well, too. All in all, one more good experience!
I appreciate anyone willing to look at their own favorite place, and see if it might be suitable for our group.
Now, on to March 18 to celebrate the March birthdays!
